Active Summer Enrichment Since 2019

About us

Little Dragon Summer Camp is a non-profit organization started in 2019, aiming to support students in Chinese immersion programs or heritage Chinese speakers in K-6 grade.

Students learn to build character, improve learning motivation, strengthening skills in different subject-matter areas, and become confident learners.

STEAM-FOCUSED LEARNING

Our Chinese immersion teachers not only guide students to develop strong Chinese language skills, but also adopt innovative educational concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) to help students develop 21st century skills (e.g. critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, etc.).

DAILY ACTIVITES & SPORTS

As well as building student’s literacy skills, our coaches help learners develop an active lifestyle, teach them how to build teamwork with their peers, and effectively communicate to solve problems while having fun. Our list of activities extends (not limited) to-

Monday: Nature Scavenger Hunt,

Tuesday: Pond Life Observation,

Wednesday: Quiet Reading,

Thursday: Music Sounds of Summer,

and Friday Fun Day (Ice Cream, Maple Maze & Swimming Pools),

as well as daily sports.

Why Choose Us?

Positive Learning & Social Environment

It’s important to us that our kids learn to be respectful, and follow rules. They work hard, and play safe. The student to teacher ratio is about 1:7 in our camp.

High Quality Teachers

We are a team of dedicated professionals. All of our classroom teachers and teaching assistants are licensed teachers and work in different Chinese immersion programs. The English teachers and specialists are highly skilled and share their own personal learning experience & strategies with our young learners.

Ideal Location

Our camp is located in Town Green of the Maple Grove Community Center, sitting between the library, playground, parks, outdoor music arena, and community center. A great place to learn, relax, enjoy an outdoor concert, or feed the ducks and walk around the lake.
